I think it would probably be less than a dog/cat, but I have no clue what kind of lasting damage/odors a hamster could cause.

I have pulled a lot of urine-stained/soaked carpets and I have never had a situation where the subfloors or joists were odor-damaged.

@J Scott It could be an improper vent which is siphoning water out of the trap (that's why the odor would go away after running the water). 

But I would probably say no because of my very small yards and I think it can generate some odors if you do it wrong (like too much greens-- grass and kitchen waste--and not turned)...
