I double check with them to make sure it's OK and then I go in to have a look see.I would say out of may be two dozen homes I saw in the last two months, about six homes I was given a code to enter by myself because they were running late, and three of the homes are from the same realtor - different offices, different agents though...The curious thing, they all have the same combination code.

Cost of acquisition is doubled also since you would be have to buy two houses. ( I know you are just comparing a SFR to a duplex - not two houses, but assuming you plan to acquire more )This is why I have a personal preference towards multi family units over SFRs.

I've read before on BP about LLC not being a good option for Canadians because we don't have the same structure here and it may trigger double taxation (I have not reserached this at all, --just giving caution).
