Very inspiring. 

There was a post by a moderator here at BP is saying that "he wants to protect the newbie from making mistakes and getting scammed.Well small-business people make mistakes;  even if you buy a franchise and get an Operations Manual on how to run the business,  you make mistakes.I think real estate investing is like weight-loss;you walk into a weight-loss clinicyou want to lose the weight and you understand that you got to exercise but there's a psychological component to losing weightLike in real estate investing, weight-loss is painfulAlso it doesn't come quicklyParadoxically, weight loss is not consistent; the results are intermittent.I think there's two good sayings to be pasted in front of your computer from your fridge and in front of your mirror were you shave or get ready for the next day.Those who sayings areIf I don't GOYA (get off my ***) I can't make any moneyThe truth to real estate investing is that you have to go away from your computer and go talk to Sellers that have problems, if you don't like people you better get into something elseThe second saying on top of the one above is, If I don't read about how to be an entrepreneur, starting a business, web generation through the web and through print, human psychology of negotiation including NLP (the "critical soft skills"), mortgage origination, basic legal contracts, how to give a speech and inspire, how to network, how to get referrals, how to hire, manage and lead, etc, in short start and grow a business, I will be a slave to my J.

The BiggerPockets podcast and books have really taught me a lot and inspired me to take action.
