If I have four or five jobs going at once, am keeping my guys paid, gas in trucks, expenses paid, supplier accounts paid, and fronting labor and incidental material costs on multiple jobs, while feeding my family and doing some of my own investing, I should also have the cash to front him HIS cabinets and countertops?

Recently on 2 SFH rentals we had to seal our WBFP's then have them re-inspect it to avoid losing our Insurance.On a higher end SFH I took out the old WBFP & installed a Gas insert with blower & they love it.We did have an issue in an old rental home years ago where the fire was so hot the support joists under the hearth actually started to smolder.

What I, Jawsette, and several others are saying is that paying for someone's time to mentor you is nOT a waste of money so long as it is reasonable, and the education/experience given by the mentor is valid and of substantial quality.Originally posted by MikeOH:My suggestion is always to make friends with a local SUCCESSFUL investor and have your new friend help you (mentor you) for free.You have made this very same statement many times in many threads.

- one heat-pump is older than I thought, 20+ years, and isn't blowing any cool air, backup electrical heat didn't appear to work either (no gas furnace at this place).

Had to use the propane gas grill and fireplace to cook food but other than that there was not much to do except sleep and eat lol.Well I got power back but from what I was told there is going to be more bad weather so I'm hoping the power won't go out this time.
