I had lines stapled around the baseboards in a rental.I needed to install new floors and after removing the baseboards I noticed that it would be a pain to re-staple the lines.

that's why the first thing i do when i purchase a house is rip the alarm off and disconnect the sprinkler system. they are nothing but a pain when they go bad and alarm system gives the potential tenants an impression that the area is bad. and why would you want that?
