@Paul B.The self-employment activity or business that is required to establish a Solo 401k plan has to be legitimate and when I speak with people occasionally who want to setup some self-employment activity just to qualify for a Solo 401k what they are proposing in most cases is not a legitimate self-employment activity or it does not have the longevity that is needed to maintain the plan.

You can set one up if you have legitimate self-employment activity or small business without full time employees.

But it seems to me that people are not comprehending my question and answering through their own biases instead without actual legitimate answers that make any kind of sense.
