On one hand, I’ve always wanted to have a rental property portfolio and, although I wouldn’t have started off with this one, I’m wondering if I should take the plunge and try to do something.A friend of mine is an architect and he asked the Department of Buildings if we could add a third story to the building.

I did check my email at 4:30 pm, however, to find out another buyer slipped right through the cracks and sent in an offer over mine.

Rehabbing/recycling vacant properties is far more viable, and if those numbers are not penciling out, then it's most likely in a highly populated metro area where all the funds are honed in on...except for mine.

I guess the wholesellers time is more valuable than mine and they can't be bothered to call themselves. 

BOTH houses were flipped by the same corner cutting investment crew using the same materials about 3 years ago.The house on my adjacent LEFT (in between mine and the neighbor 2 doors down) is a recently vacant property that just sold and is about to get a full gut rehab.

It's funny, two of mine sold to investors out of state even at 90k so I think there is a really good market around there.
