Gold is a slow or non-earning asset, if all you require is to preserve your assets gold is an option, if you're in the game of earning an income and growing assets, jump into RE as an income producing activity, the water is fine.

Wait until business is slow and they are hungry and retailers are doing deals to sell product on off peak times.Same thing with A/C companies as these three months are hottest here in Georgia and if the A/C goes out look to pay a premium or the people will not even come out to fix anything.A cheap fix in the situation is to buy a window unit and make it a few months until you do not need an A/C unit but just the heat and then in Spring when times are slow get it fixed or replaced for a deal.
