There are pros and cons to it and a lot depends on your own personality and how you handle your living situation.Pros:-Because I rent by the room, I've never had a vacancy-I know the home is being kept up and can respond quickly to repairs-My tenants have never had a late payment since they know me personallyCons:-having frequent turnover of roommates can be stressful-random roommates will not take care of your own space like you would -I'd caution against renting to friends.
