The goal of a househack is to eliminate your housing expense as much as possible.

Because I have reduced my expenses to less than 500 a month, and enjoy a more frugal lifestyle as it is, I am content pooling all available income to real estate, in order to accelerate this process.

I bought a rental property last year (October 2023). Can I claim car travel miles even if the rental property is not ready yet?

(To give you some numbers we are all in at 2.1 million and it appraised just shy of $3.2 Million)This was a seller-financed transaction, the terms allowed us to use the ground as collateral and I brought partners in after I got all of the city approvals, and they took over the future expenses for the seller financing note and the other costs like engineering. 

But also this could very well leave you deciding to move from older to newer properties where the risk of capital expense is much less. 

Tell me the other info and I can tell you how to deduct their home, property tax, house insurance and even expense their garden shovel and garden gloves.  

I own multiple rentals in Elizabeth, NJ but I was just offered a property in Harrison, NJ, I am not familiar with the area so I am looking on some insights on the area weather its worth investing in or not, especially that properties seem more expensive than Elizabeth.

There’s going to be a lot more expenses - especially in older properties or ones poorly rehabbed. 

I can say I had 50 k in rental income expenses of 45 k and only made 5 k easy right.
