When measured against income, DC is one of the most affordable major housing markets in the country, with housing trading at roughly 4-4.5 times the income.

I have been to a few meetups in Houston regarding real estate- real estate acquisitions and the large networking event that takes place at the RedNeck Country Club.

While I agree that 3/2 s are the best seller across the country, alot of people who raised families in larger homes are looking to downsize. 2/2s sell well.

@Jordan Whitworth, in a normal situation, I would say you're on the right path.

I was born into the hottest real estate market in the country and would be lying if I said I dont envy the home prices elsewhere.

I have the capital to invest, but I just need a solid mentor and path.

@Christina Luton in my part of the country you wouldn't use tile on the "main" floors - too cold.

You are going at this from too many angles, when there is only one path to be taken.I would not jump to accuse the president of theft.

So Thomas I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say, although I’m eligible for VA with zero down which I (earned from serving my country) my plan was not to get a house while in the situation that I’m in that would be foolish. 

And some smart folks realized this 20 years or so ago and instead of selling locally they brought their weirs to market on the west and East coasts and out of country..
