And yes, you can do some of the work yourself....BUT.....it is a pain and not everyone that does FHA loans does 203K loans.The appraiser will note what they visibly see and while it tends to be more thorough, it is NOT an inspection.

The PA has more than one "escape clauses", one being "verification of due diligence documents", another being "contingent upon satisfactory inspection results".

I'll be inspecting the properties myself this go around, if they look good I'll definitely hire an inspector to go through each before writing an offer.

I now need contractors for the Spring,TX area near FM1960 This is a new construction project and wont be able to pay until after inspection.
