Do you do regular maintenance inspections?

Lots of them out there that provide essentially the same report (assuming you've had the required home/site inspection and have full access).

Hi BP'ers,I have made my first foray into the world and spoken to a seller on a property  I am looking for Buy & Hold Cash flow- below are the basic stats,; any advice, thoughts are appreciated- what questions should I ask before paying for an inspection, has anyone invested in this area- Newark, NJ?  

And yes, you can do some of the work yourself....BUT.....it is a pain and not everyone that does FHA loans does 203K loans.The appraiser will note what they visibly see and while it tends to be more thorough, it is NOT an inspection.  

I presume you have an inspection time contingency.

The PA has more than one "escape clauses", one being "verification of due diligence documents", another being "contingent upon satisfactory inspection results". 

I understand there would need to be continues on appraisals and inspections.

I'll be inspecting the properties myself this go around, if they look good I'll definitely hire an inspector to go through each before writing an offer.

However, in some cases, an inspection of certain property systems might need to be conducted prior to this happening (i.e. having an electrical inspection done).

I now need contractors for the Spring,TX area near FM1960 This is a new construction project and wont be able to pay until after inspection.
