Humorous, but it in one respect I see the correlation with the guru circuit, selling dreams.You pay somebody $20K-30K for this course, where you are going to learn this really in-depth earth-shaking super insightful stuff, something that is really going to give you an edge... and you get this:  "guys, you need to go out there and work really, really hard.

So the depth of the implications goes quite deep and by trying to circumvent an IRS regulation, you may be leaving a lot of money on the table.So you basically agree (outside of a life hack), that you can't do it for a rental as the start of the thread mentioned.

Now if the purchase price based on the quick formula I run is somewhat close to what the asking price is, I'd probably do a little bit more digging and run some more in-depth numbers.
