I just looked it up again and found several for real estate, (market values of securities do not apply as real estate is unique and there is no established market for trading a property as there is for investment securities).The ones I prefer to use are those we must live by, based in regulation and law.Try this: 12 USC,1818 as Authority55 Federal Regulation 33888 dtd Aug. 20, 1990Section 323.2 Definitions.The examples given by those who purchased properties at a great deal obviously do not meet the definition of Market Value.
