Pex was designed to be very resiliant (you can freeze the pipes 2 or 3 times before it will burst and if you catch it before it does freeze that many times you can heat up the pipe and it will return to it's original form.2). if you use too much glue for the CPVC it will actually keep welding the plastic and can get too thin to the point of burst pipes.

The University has a mortgage house program for employees in designated areas. 19146 is a University area BUT it doesn’t include East of 34th st.

I still buy the design materials (tile, lights, door knobs) but the basic materials I just have them buy and it's included in the quote.I would just ask the contractor to do the quote whichever way you want it done.

I think you incur a considerable liability when you try to shortcut something designed to save you big dollars and risk.Frankly, I would spend the money on the liability insurance regardless.
