I have heard the Judge always give tenant 3-6 months for a family with minor to stay free before judgement of possession.

The tenant is going to be on their own with their own renter's insurance for any damage to shed contents from this or subsequent rain storms until the shed it fixed/replaced.Appreciate you chiming in - like I said, I know this was an old post.Good luck and stay safe!

A landlord in NYC just lost a case where the Judge sided with the tenant and awarded a $300,000 (Three Hundred THOUSAND Dollars) judgement tin favor of tenant against the owner for not acting quickly enough to exterminate bedbugs.BTW, I'd suggest you contract with a licensed pest control person to not only treat your properties/apartments on a regular basis, but also conduct a periodic inspection for ANY type of infestation, especially those pesky bedbugs.

In WI, court records can be searched on CCAP (foreclosure action/judgements, etc) and assessor search by address shows any delinquent taxes (all useful if you want to try to get a feel for seller motivation of a specific property).

But yes judgements happen but I think many are defaults and such.. would be curious to see if anyone has gone all the way through to a Jury trial on a civil matter.
