Last year I went to the local civil engineering company and inquired about it, apparently there were several neighbors who successfully got out, one of them was 2' lower than me. 

I currently work as an Automation Engineer.

Before my husbands death I owned a computer consulting  business that sold and supported Computer Aided Design Systems for Architects and engineers.   

No one depends on my income besides myself and I am fortunate enough to be compensated very competitively as a Software Engineer.

Also, since so many folks are wanting to rent these units (and yes we're very careful about who we rent to), I've spoken to an engineer about building more units on the property and there appears to be entitlement possibilities.Any ideas Biggerpockets community?

Because they are book works, go by algorithms, they do what they're told to do by the companies they work with, don't dare go to far and think outside the box, just play the game.
