By the way, there are many other fields where you can pay for a training class and the job prospects are questionable....I see ads for learning to code, and I have no idea what the classes cost or whether they pay for themselves, but I am willing to bet that many people are not cut out to write software, but whoever is offering the class will still take their money.

My understanding is that if it's expunged, you might not have to disclose it to a prospective employer, BUT I'm not so sure that means you don't have to disclose it to the state's real estate department.I was contacted some time back by a prospective real estate licensee who had a felony theft conviction (embezzlement) on their record from 20+ years earlier.
