The only things I want my agent to do is present me with off-market deals, negotiate the buy and sale, and handle everything associated with the transfer of title.I believe it's the investor's responsibility to know the market, know the MLS properties, run the numbers, etc.

Often times, they actually take away from your settlement because they could not negotiate a large enough settlement from the insurance carrier, but you still owe them your fee.Give your insurance carrier and adjuster an opportunity to meet with you, explain the claims process, and address your concerns.

Your contract will have an inspection clause so you can negotiate within a certain timeframe of the inspection or pull out if you arent happy with the reports findings.Hope that helpsPs - where are you thinking of wholesaling?

Trying to determine the best way to negotiate the property because I believe he still has a mortgage on it I don't see a discharge of the mortgage in the records, but that also brings up a question for me as to how can I offer a lower amount of the property than what he owes on it.
