For example, he might know that it's going to cost you a ton of money to get the properties into proper shape, and perhaps he is hoping you will spend some of said money, before you realize that the property isn't worth investing in and handing it back to him with a deed in lieu.Can you PM us the address and we can do a little more in-depth research?

You're right, it makes no sense to intentionally mess over your investor, but it is through the nature of mortgage investors and small brokers not having the depth of knowledge that unintentional things happen or a lack of risk management.

@Karen Alexander check out in depth property tax's in Texas prior to investing and then also check into expansive soil foundation repairs.. unless I lived there TExas would be the LAST place I would buy non appreciating to low appreciating assets.. you will not like it in the long run.
