After the second, competent, plumber explained everything to me I understood the first company basically scammed me.I feel like this is gross negligence that affects the health and safety of my tenants on behalf of the first company.

They said they wouldn't allow me to run the package deal again (which I understood) but when I asked if they would just charge me for the package deal but not run the credit, they said no.

I personally would not pay it until I got clarification and understood what they did

Beyond physical state, you can prepare your mental state with morning rituals and goals. 

My one little tidbit is to not expect anything to be an "understood." 

We understood what he's saying, but what's he's saying is irrelevant.

A lot I already knew and understood, but there are little nuggets hidden everywhere and it reaffirms what I'm doing right and what I need to change.
