I'm just starting to invest in real estate and am wondering if I should just take the 23K to roll into a self-directed IRA or the +18K and use to fund my LLC for real estate after tax withholding?

I suppose the best thing to do is consult legally to see if we can withhold our annual fees enmasse.Jack McG Many times, in HOAs that are solvent with mostly filled units, the residents can petition the HOA to obtain the financing as a buyer, or some of the owners in the community, and buy the bank out, as a short sale or discounted note.

Hey Melinda, My parents did a good job raising me, and luckily, as my grandmother so elegantly used to put it "I wasn't born yesterday"Anyway, IMO - I've fended off about 3 separate cases where I believe this would have been the outcome.

If you pay over X amount, you need to withhold as well, unless they are an independent contractor.
