Even if it's just a bank statement showing deposits, etc.I would accept the double deposit to hedge some risk as well.Assuming everything else in the application looks good, I'd move forward.

You're just tacking added costs on to the ultimate deal with the real cash buyer.And you can't double close to wholesaler, so would you have 2 contracts and 2 assignment agreements among 3 parties at closing?

Is it possible to double close on this home at a lower price than what my seller owes as long as the seller is willing to pay the outstanding balance and does that mean the home will be a short sale if he tries to get this approved by the bank?

And double closing is frowned upon because you knew of someone willing to pay more before you bought it.What you can do is form an LLC, get the short sale under contract under that LLC and if it looks like it is going to close, sell the LLC prior to close.If it doesn't close you can re-use the LLC.
