If you have nat. gas in your area (we do not, only propane), then it's even cheaper. also, something that is JUST catching on is heat pumps (aka central AC) - they've become MUCH more efficient and are even good to 0 degrees now whereas just a few years ago they crapped out at around 20 degrees or so.

I have watched quite a few movies that have either scared the crap out of me or made my stomach turn.

All that crap on TV is superficial and smoke and mirrors.
