The problem I am facing is that it doesn't make sense for me, as well as not having the funds, to purchase the property now and make mortgage payments on it for 9 months while having no income from it.

:( sad face!  

It seems like if they had to replace it, it may be difficult to find a replacement note that matched your note that went south (similar ROI, face value, equity cushion, etc..).  

I was making minimum wage with my wife, and we were barely making ends meet (raising a child as well).  

Let's put some much needed context around the bomb drop post there so those who didn't follow what you really meant can grasp some what you barely explained.  

But on the face of it, if you are buying for cash flow, it does not look appealing to me.

Bare with me, I have an unusual question and am seeking a little guidance as how to best accomplish some goals I have...I am currently in the military and have been strongly considering transitioining back into the civilian sector.

I would really consider an investor that is will to do a bit of mentoring as well to assist me in getting established and in return would be able to make profits off of our relationship.I'm asking the forum because I am limited to available time with regards to face to face networking.
