I work for myself in technology and have some spare time to learn new things.

I previously had a wine import business which is in the process of rebooting, as well as doing consulting on the technology side of commercial real estate construction projects.

New industries have been moving into the area, and there are two nationally recognized technology research centers.

As for what to study, pick something that interests you that will benefit your business- finance, accounting, marketing, architecture, construction technology, construction management, project management, any of the engineering fields, to name a few.

Technology's great.

I have a degree in Engineering Technologies from Texas State, and have worked in the construction atmosphere throughout school, and after graduation. 

I understand that with technology and a good team behind you it's possible to purchase a house in any market.

This is large enough that it is not a 1 man show and there should be some reach with more technology and channels etc but small enough you know everyone there. 

The city is trying to  starting technology triangle within the city with local colleges and IBM.
