Howdy Kyle, For a great overview of the process, I highly recommend Matt Faircloth's book, "Raising Private Capital" because he'll give you a way to organize your thinking about, and approach to soliciting, other people's money.

Makes everything easy to see rather than manually plug numbers into a spreadsheet.Hope this helps,Matt
