To get the funds for your downpayment: 1) resell stuff on Craigslist/eBay/Amazon, 2) sell any crafty stuff you make or find on etsy 3) perform freelance jobs in Elance or  Taskrabbit 4) borrow or receive as a gift from family the money for a downpayment  5) set up an automatic deduction from your paycheck into a savings account.

We were both gifted the importance of a strong and I mean strong work ethic.

Really, the only way around that is to buy the property from a relative and have them "gift" you the equity but that doesn't usually go over so well.

Closing was scheduled for 11/30/17 at 1:30pm, and I received a call the day before on 11/29/17 at 2:30pm from my attorney saying that their attorney just notified him saying they did not have the cash required for the closing.The attorney mentioned the buyer's sister was suppose to provide a gift but never did.
