For example, this can be adding square footage, adding an extra unit, or adding a pool in a STR market/luxury market.  

I promise you it is cheap for a reason and will only cause problems.First of all, caulk in a bathtub will never last.

However, we also recognize the time value of money, so while it might pencil out to turn a profit, but we get an immediate payback versus a six to nine month holding time, it might make more sense to sell them both as bare land.  

It's not ideal, because they do have a budget price to adhere to.
