I.T. services work is certainly not recreation. :)   Maybe if I just billed a few hours of my work at full market rate and then volunteer donated whatever other amount of labor I wanted personally, it would be arguably more for profit incentive.   

He offered us extending the floor out to recreate a new loft and square footage.

Honestly, I'm excited to see people recognize what a wonderful city Denver is (nice people, great weather, wonderful recreation) and when people complain about the traffic/new additions, I like to point out that it's a compliment to live in a city that other people want to be in.

Love of being in the mountains, the year-round draw of activities and demand for people from cities to escape to the mountains for recreation.

For outdoors, we have both snow skiing and water skiing within 30 minutes from town, plus about every outdoor/recreational activity you could think of. 

Companies like REI-short for Recreational Equipment Inc.

Schools, recreation, yard size ... all those needs change ALOT in just ten years.
