Hoping to get them all installed next week.Plus odor removal (smoking in 2 units with acoustical ceilings removed and that will be replaced, plus kilz everywhere on the floors and walls, and what smells like a dead dog, with urine and feces in another apartment), completed carpet removal and am starting painting and need new appliances.Oh, and some electrical things are on movable plywood panels, that will need to be dealt with.Pretty total rehab.

Get a quote to have the odor neutralized and with hold that amount from the deposit.

I have bought one years ago and we use it to get rid of smells and odors, it oxidizes everything organic, BTW that includes mold and mildew.The smell originates probably also from the padding, that will be tough to get ridg of.

Has anyone had any issues with odors that you can't get out after the pet is gone?

They are grumbling about the rent, even though I'm giving them a discount. 

My concern is that the actual people staying in my STRs are going to grumble because nobody cleans their room every day, there's no breakfast waiting for them, no pool, etc. 

If your house has been on the market since Sept and it’s in good shape, clean, doesn’t have a bad odor and is priced right in a good area it should have gotten rented already from my experience.

Next I cover with an oil-based Kilz primer which will seal in the nicotine stains and odor.

I'm with everyone else in the thread - unlike cigarettes, which leave a lingering odor, or hookah, which likely lead to nasty burn marks, pot smell leaves with the pot and it is usually consumed in a way that could only burn furniture.
