After several hearings, we reached an agreement: both parties agreed that if the tenants applied for government assistance to cover the overdue rent and committed to paying rent on time going forward, the eviction process would end.

That is why PreREO requires the defaulted note buyer/partner to file for a court hearing requesting a third party independent receiver to be given court approval to accept rent on behalf of the actual owner of record and divert the funds to you, the note buyer prior to taking title via a completed foreclosure.

Better yet have them underwritten by a licensed 3rd party.

Live in the multi-family for a year, then move back into your own home and rent out the unit.If if not ideal, it's worth the hassle.
