For example if I know my mom who lives 500 miles away has brain cancer, no one is going to come after me if in 5 months it goes terminal and I go to be with her during her final months, and temporarily rent the place out to make it financially viable.What both of these have in common is commonsense judgement.

My parents were "forced" into taking SS early due to a cancer diagnosis..and they didn't prepare well financially.
