Not trying to be mean, just an observation.

Since he had been investing in RE for 30 years he observed a few things.RE is the only investment that he knew (focus is on him) where you can buy for $100K, rent the property, sell for $50K and end up with a profit. $50K more than you started with.His point if you can buy with zero cash, have the tenant pay off the mortgage plus running costs, sell at a lower price than you purchased for and walk away with $50K more than you started with.

Good deal Greg.I'd like to touch on one of your important observations...These agents were very much "take or leave it but don't waste my time" type of people.

I'll simply say that your positions are heard.I know that some of my observations could not possibly be popular on an investor forum, and now having said that, I look forward to other member comments.

Understand no list is perfect and somethings can not be observed until work starts.

There is little supply of rental "houses" and based on the advertising I have observed, they seem to rent rather quickly.

From the tone of your post, you sound more like a homebuyer than an investor (not an insult, just an observation).

If there was really a chance to make that kind of cash on this don't you think that he would keep the property himself and have you observe what is going on?
