I'm an architect and work in the tech department of a giant construction management firm, think 1M sq ft industrial/commercial projects and the only thing I can guess that you are referring to is a 3d laser scan, which is way to cost prohibitive to do for flipping/remodeling.

I guess my question is whether there is good way to figure out who the owner of the property is since it's empty and not on the market.Another possible option is a distressed property, with a rehabbed interior and a sad exterior/ roof/ yard on Byrom St that has been on the market for 4 months with price drops, and up until last week had a giant tree hanging over it which was just removed.

I am not a financial whiz or a commercial giant by any means, only that I know if we sell this property, the buyer is going condo route, so why couldn't I go that route.I am guessing my biggest mountain at the moment is how could I even possibly get financing for a 30-40 unit complex since in theory we are talking in the multi millions.
