My father and I are thinking about getting a partner to help with the down payment on a fourplex but are hesitant because of the need to split the profits.

My father bought a 1964 Barracuda that we intended on restoring, but instead I had a S-10 that I put a bunch of money into (air ride, wheels, etc.)

My father may end up in a nursing home in the coming months.

My Father and brother owned a rental house together.  

So I say, buy your grandfather (not father guys) lunch, and tell him you would like to analyze his investments in properties...to learn more about it. 

My father who recently passed was just getting started in the real estate industry and I saved some important memories.

I was fortunate, again, to have my father co-sign on most everything, but Bank of America got so granular, I had to explain a $300 deposit in my account for selling a couch on Craigslist along with every SINGLE transaction over about 3 month period.

I just handled my father-in-law’s estate and thankfully he had everything (i.e. cars, house, bank & investment accounts, etc) in the trust.
