That's a pretty big thing for me because I often use the site from airports with lousy internet connections and the previous version had sometimes become unusable.

Also just because you haven't done something before (pan) doesn't mean that you CAN'T do that task, just means that you may need to do a little research on how to do that task correctly.  

If you have internet at the property the Hikvision units can be setup for viewing remotely.

This means you would need a detailed scope of work and would need to be able to accurately determine how far along they are with each task- percentage wise.

Hi - does anyone know of an Internet based intercom system.

The Internets tell me this is plenum-rated fire alarm cable; you can probably use non-plenum cable, type FPL, which will be cheaper.I *think* the key to all of this stuff is that the available power is limited by the power supply or transformer.
