I've tried online lending companies like credible but they all give me interest rates above 10%.I am wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions for paying off the $50k sooner rather than later to avoid paying double the loan...any insight is appreciated!

So I totally understand how to add value to a rundown property by doing the work myself -- it's good old-fashioned sweat equity (more properly termed "trading time for money.")What I don't understand is how it works to add value (at least profitably) by hiring it out.

I know there's some thought out there that you should cultivate direct relationships with insurance companies or construction companies, but that's tying yourself to one industry when the platforms like Airbnb or Zillow are where a much wider pool of potential tenants are looking.Long-winded rant aside, I bet Atlanta has a great market for MTRs (and probably STRs if the laws allow them).I totally agree with this James (and Erin) - you don't want to limit your targeting.
