I spend a lot of time traveling to national conferences and getting to meet so many badass investors, but somehow my local reach is way more limited (even tho I know you guys are out there!)

@Luke Moore  I hadn't got on BP in a while -- Awesome that you're part of IHCA -- I know I get a lot out of our KS state group -- I'm hoping they have a national small owners conference in the Spring -- I cant recall if they had one this year or not -- I went to one in 2019 - then it was shut down for 2-3 years due to covid -- Anyways keep you eye out for the small owners national convention -- it's a smaller group of folks that go...at least to the one I went to -- I learned a lot and met a lot of good people.  

Great point @Chanté Owens regarding him filing suit anyway and the insurer denying coverage.Also, in the spirit of disclaimers, I am a former personal injury defense attorney with several insurance carriers as clients.

The market is very dependent on Aerospace and Department of Defense Spending. 

Nathan at Bridge and Mike D'Arrigo have both spoken at the BP conferences and are very active here on BP.  

Due to being a central location, it attracts many different organizations for conferences and reunions.

It kind of worked years ago but even still... if you don't understand your actual numbers and running them for every deal you're just being lazy and doing yourself a disservice.In its defense, the 1% rule was never meant to be an actual rule.

I agree that a good defense is the best protection.
