One thing is usually certain for Turnkey's they have their place but many times you can do the same stuff for cheaper...just cost you time and money...that is why Turnkeys are more expensive because someone "did" all the work needed like getting a tenant and doing the repairs. 

If the walls are not balloon frame and there are not too many cross-blocks, we could try to retain the inner walls and inject insulation, but the more of these we do, the less it seems to save us in the end ... the cost of drywall and mudding versus an effective air sealing and application of insulation.It has also been our experience that while materials are cheaper to air seal using poly & caulking and insulate with mineral wool, the labour required pretty much make it a wash with the cost of closed cell foam.Once we confirm our plans, I'll do a full envelope model on the house and share my results.

I am completely comfortable driving a used cheaper paid for vehicle for now...I seen where Mark Ferguson purchased a Lamborghini but did it after he had a very well developed empire.

If for no other reason, it is cheaper now than it will likely be as time proceeds.Not to mention the whole "feed the family" as the doom overclouds thing.

If they cant afford the place and need to find something cheaper, now is a good time to get them out to re-rent the place.

Cost was definitely much cheaper than new carpet. 

occasionally something comes up that is cheaper but as @Brian Ploszay says a lot of those deals have hair on them. and the rest are under contract. in 24-48 hours.

It is much cheaper in our experience.

Not very desirable although price inflated because of large population demand.Palm Bay or Vero Beach/Sebastian would be a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
