JPMorgan Chase's main campus is here, and developers are hard at work turning this area into a live/work/play environment, much like Downtown and Upper Arlington.

It was June already, and  I thought instead of trying to chase flips, I should look for what can be achieved. 

They never chased the quick buck.

Fixing, chasing rent, and a lack of appreciation relative to nicer homes, just the headache and worries of worse areas, five houses instead of one, fifty houses instead of ten, etc.I'm really not opposed to either one and how/why we acquired the Boca house wasn't based on this "idea" - it is a weird story - but events I've witnessed have got me thinking...are we accurately projecting the costs/returns here? 

First and foremost, if the note is not currently for sale, trying to chase down a bank is nearly impossible as they will not sell a one off most of the time.

They can also have references and other valuable resources, but that way they pursue you rather than you having to chase down more contractors to finish the job.Excited to see what steps you take next!

You can chase after the money and legally you might win, but depending on the tenant, they could destroy your property before they leave.

Most scammers know anything under 1,000 the scammed party will not want to spend way more than that to chase them in court to try and recover the money. 

Overall, don't stress too much, if I were you, I'd try to make sure everything is safe, raise the rent a little, not chase anyone out, and see how things move along and evaluate as you go.

Definitely a good piece of advice not to spend thousands of more dollars on making it like your primary residence just to chase additional $50/month in rent.
