The market there is relatively flat due to the depressed oil industry, but I see it as an opportunity vs. dealing with emotional buyers in Toronto.In southern Ontario, those that I know who have been investing in multi family have been in the KWC area and Hamilton.

They will even represent you in court which is a good thing because owners can get emotional when presenting reasons for eviction.That is my take on when I would use an attorney or equivalent (for evictions).

If you did split some of your properties for the "competition" factor, I would imagine this would also be a temporary thing because a clear winner would most likely show up between the two and you would move all of your properties to that one company that is doing a better job, you feel more comfortable with and trust more.
