I truly think as landlords we need to help each other bring forth an industry that’s respected like the credit card and finance industry where if someone does not pay for services rendered then they suffer the consequences.

Of course, if you overprice your properties because you purchased way above market, you will suffer.

Assuming you are a high earner and own a house of your own in LA and if, hypothetically, you have a rental house with $500,000 liability protection and your tenant were to suffer an injury or worse, they could go after you personally (especially if you have assets worth more than that $500k insurance) and sue you for the value of your personal assets.

The idea here is to target corporate housing, insurance companies, snowbirds, and those needing to plant their feet in the ground before buying in Vegas.
