Also dealing with the potential judgement of other investors and friends who might think of it as raising rents on the people who are not able to easily move out.

There are of course notable exceptions, but everyone I know that got a "good deal" bought these places before 2017 at the latest.

My rents have increased notably over the last few years and have tenants fighting over my apartments. 

Ha ha - yes, I can see that being weird "welcoming me" to BP, @Brie Schmidt  - I just wanted someone to say hi to show other newbies that Chicago is a friendly crowd or to find some other Chicago investors that I hadn't met yet.... but then found it notable that no one investing in Chicago turned up! 

And I just refuse to believe there isn’t opportunity in LA.I did talk to a couple Money lenders already and unfortunately they weren’t too comfortable working with investors, Or maybe just with me 🤔 ...The search continues 🔭🔬🔦.I know it's just the fact that I'm still not able to recognize good deals that I haven't had any luck in finding a good one yet.
