Do not rely solely on the image of the license, those can be forged and photo shopped.

That's the public image, the only one who really know if someone got screwed is the scammer and the injured party.

I can see your head is spinning with ideas and scenarios.You are describing two (2) different approaches, one involving the purchase of the asset, presumably for cash and imaging off the encumbrances; the other buying the equity.It's all about risk and who takes what and when.If it were me, I'd go the equity route.
