@Talha Parvaiz  Chicagoland area is such a GIANT market that its hard to make blanket statements w/out focusing on a certain zip code and/or asset class.

I am working with clients in San Diego and Florida and I need to hire the equivalent of a Town Planner (Australian professional) who will work with the client and walk them through the subdivision, zoning, code, property appraisal, residential building options, etc.

If your looking around Inglewood the 90047 zip code would be the next best thing, however I do not see any on market listings near that $500k price point.
