It’s great that you were able to develop both a business and an investment portfolio out of something you found a passion for.

Your determination and passion is inspiring, as is your story.

Since my wife and I are long time Dave Ramsey followers, she was able to leave her job last year and focus on real estate investing as well as pursue some other passions. 

I have a strong passion for nature and mental/ physical rest and recuperation but don’t want to get to far over my head to begin with, want to take this step by step.

I think your passion, persistence and out going personality puts you at a level above and beyond many investors here on BP.

Really as you gain more and more experience in a industry....you find out there are only about 15-20% of people that are very good and passionate about what they do.

With that said, if I knew then what I know now - both about the power and opportunity in real estate and my passion for it - I would recommend to my youthful self to get straight into the field, without law school and without undergrad if possible.I tell my kids that if they want to get into the family business, I'll put their education money toward their business venture.

I love your passion but make sure you keep that fire burning strong after burning the path of traditional education at such a young age.

I think anyone that follows all of his principles will do well and be in a much better financial situation, but I agree that Dave Ramsey should be more of a starting point for someone truly passionate about personal finance and investing rather than a guiding compass.My biggest problem with Dave is his lack or transparency when it comes to his mutual funds.
