Since you asked...Our focus for this winter/spring is a mixed use project...we bought a hotel built in 1870 through a purchase money mortgage...we're adding 3 high-end guest suites for a BnB, building in a 2BR apartment for stable cash flow, and opening a gallery for the local artist community...we have plans for a tap room or wine bar in the future at the same site as well...

Equity being built up while you are making your mortgage payments and the pool payments, and when the pool payments are done, you can either roll that into that house to further pay it down to have it paid off by the time your son goes to college.

There's a lot to this electrical story but I'll try to focus on what I'm here for which is a practical and more immediate solution to a much bigger problem of a building built in 1911.Upon purchase of a 4 unit building I find the first floor, and much of my basement, is dark.

In the old days (40 to 50 years ago), my father's favorite way to get paid the rent was "any way he could get it".For some tenants, we used to knock on doors every Friday or Saturday and get paid cash.I remember one time, before I started driving, my father was in the hospital and I had to ride all over town on my bike and collect rent.
