I did the self-paced online course which entailed picking up the class books (or you can download & print, but they are quite large), self-study and completing the class exams online. 

Here on Bigger Pockets, YouTube, Facebook etc...Some people like to self learn & it's all there.

Im actually glad you have some self awareness on this issue unlike a lot of people who post this question. 

A few things that I think about is do you always plan on self managing or are you just planning on selling it in 6 years?

I didn't want to depend on the stock market so I set up a self directed IRA LLC and bought 6 more rental properties here in New Braunfels Texas.

The main thing you want to do is an adequate level of due diligence to so you could have an Innocent Landowners defense if any environmental contamination was to show up in the future.

I agree with other comments that do some self learning first.
