We suffer from a housing shortage, not enough new construction and people want to live in quality neighborhoods.

Suggestions for specific types of plants and/or hardscaping ideas would be much appreciated.

Having worked with them in the Midwest, the key is being close to the manufacturing plant and insuring local codes  and municipalities work with mobile homes.

That's right, the big name companies that you see on groceries, drug stores, warehouses, manufacturing and bottling plants generally DON'T own their own RE!
